The story of a photographer

My photography journey all started in High School when i took photography as one of my core subjects. At the same time my uncle gifted me my first SLR Camera, a Praktica 35mm Super TL, and that's where the journey began.

I learnt how to develop film in the dark room and create prints and i fell in love with the art of photography.

After leaving school i put down the camera and ended up joining the Royal Australian Airforce and embarked on what would be a 20yr career. The love for photography was always there and around 2017 i decided to pick up the camera again and dip my toes back into the photography world with a Canon 200d. Even with a relatively basic DSLR i managed to completely immerse myself into my photography and have now upgraded to a Canon R6MKII, which is a phenomenal Camera, and has allowed me the freedom and ease to take my photography to the next level.

I have found the camera helps me be present in the moment and helps me forget about the worries of the world. For that moment when i'm out shooting, all i am thinking about is what's around me and the composition of the shot.

I have been fortunate enough to win the 2023 ReFocus international peoples choice award for my shot of the Scaly Breasted Lorikeet in flight as well as the Australian Photography Magazine peoples choice award, for my Blue Macaw, which the competition theme was 'Blue".

I have grown a passion for wildlife, landscape and adventure photography. I have also written multiple articles, which included my photography, for Traverse magazine and Adventure Rider Magazine. Both motorcycle magazines.

I'm excited to see where my photography journeys continues to takes me and hope you will join me along the way.
